A whole new day. A whole new start. But the drama still remained. I found myself sitting in the dead center of the bar and about 3 shot glasses in front of me. Others walking through had found this image somewhat disturbing but if only they knew. If only they knew...
"Another one Jason," I said looking up to the guy. He looked back at me with surprise.
"I'm sorry sir but I can't find myself to give you another one," Jason replied. "Not until you--,"
"Hand me the Drink or you're fired!" I replied. The shock on his face was humorous to me at all but in a matter of seconds the drink was piled beside the others. I sighed looked at the now 4 glasses in front of me. Suddenly I again found myself unable to drink even one of them. It wasn't who I was. I couldn't let the stress of managing a clan change me from the guy I once was. "Go ahead and take them back," I finally said to Jason. With a snicker of his teeth he obeyed as he poured the sparkling apple cider down the drain.
"You know every time you're in these moods I lose more Cider that way," Jason joked cleaning the glasses.
"I'm sorry man," I said with a little chuckle in my voice. "It's just I'm not old enough to really drink and the impression of drinking is almost as worse as actually doing it. I'll try to stop though. You're doing a good job today."
"Hmph," Jason replied. "I do a good job everyday."
"Well keep it up," I said now relaxing at the bar. I really needed to get out more.

Chihaya was working at the bar again, going around, taking people's orders and taking them to the kitchen or asking for the drinks to be brought to them. It'd been awhile since she'd worked on a day that was this busy, as she was finding difficulty resting when she'd needed to. Soon, however, the rush ended and she took a seat at the counter of the bar, looking up at the substitute Barkeep. It was Jason, the usual sub. Her father was sick today and her mother stayed home to care for him, probably using herbs and mixtures that Haruna had created. Shyly, she raised her hand up to Jason, her voice coming out shyly and lightly.
"U-U-Umm... C-C-Can I get an o-o-orange juice...?"

((Lol sorry. Forgot you guys worked here. ))
"Of course Ms. Kisaragi," Jason replied setting up her drink.
I looked over at this time and myself surprised to see a new face. Her last name was Kisaragi...ah her parents worked at the bar. So she was one of my workers. Bad way to make a start saying 'Hey you work for me let's talk'. But no one was that selfish. I took the time to extend my hand for Ms. Kisaragi.
"Good work you're doing," I said softly. I found myself starting to forget the thoughts I had before but I'm sure they would arise. "I believe I've seen you before. But I just can't hit it."
"Here you go," Jason said coming back. "One Orange Juice."

"Th-Thanks, Jason..."
Chihaya had taken the drink and took a sip of it, just now noticing the boy had offered his hand to her for a handshake. Blushing profusely, she'd slowly placed her hand in his, lightly moving it up and down before taking her hand back and trying to avoid eye-contact with him, or to minimize any contact for that matter. She recognized the boy as the owner of the Altamira Resort, and her mother had also mentioned that he was the leader of the Kuma clan. But she couldn't quite remember his name.
"Y-Yes... I-I-I am working rather hard... B-b-b-by the way... I-I-I'm Chihaya, i-i-i-if you'd f-f-f-forgotten my name..."

"Chihaya that's it," I said as a smile sprung onto my face. "I'm sorry I forgot. It's usually not in my nature to forget people." I then noticed how she resisted to have eye contact. Running a business and leading a clan the most important thing was eye contact. It showed respect, bravery, and the extra push in belief in your words. But through Chihaya I sensed all of those qualities except for bravery.
"Is something wrong?" I asked with a questioned look. Usually when people were like this they had either something on their mind or something had come up. Being currently on a boss employee friendship it was important that we helped each other through whatever we were going through. It helped the working environment a lot!

"N-N-N-Nothing's wrong... I-I-I just have a s-s-social problem... th-th-that's all..."
There really wasn't anything wrong with her. She was just overly shy. Emphasis on "overly". And her talking to a boy wasn't making it any better. She took another sip of her drink, wondering what to say. What to do. If she should have done anything at all. Normally, she was fine being a waitress, as long as the customer didn't get personal or ask too many questions about her. But if it was a co-worker or some stranger approaching her, that was usually when she had problems. She began to twiddle her thumbs, lost in thought about what to say, since she was really nervous at this point.

"Oh ok," I said for my reply. As long there wasn't anything that wasn't her. But now the problem was handling her shy behavior. I wasn't use to talking to people like this but with each new problem came different solutions.
"So how long have you been working?" I said to try and spark a conversation. "I've been up since about 8:00 in the morning. You could call this a long day for me. And it looks like you just survived a mid-day rush. Must be tiring?" A warm smile was on my face as I finished looking at her. Hopefully this would her open up.

He'd given Chihaya a warm smile that caused her to blush even worse than she had before and she couldn't help but keep looking away. Was he hitting on her? No, no, no... That couldn't be possible... He should have known the implications of an employer and employee seeing each other... But why was he asking these questions...? Was he planning to break that little taboo of the boss/worker relationship? Just thinking about it sent chills up her spine...
"I-I-I've been w-w-working since 11:00... I-I-It's no big d-deal..."

"Eleven huh," I said back. "Is there anything I can do to make you more comfortable? This is the working environment and the worst thing I want to do is make you nervous in front of your working area. To me everyone comes before me and my happiness."
Feeling a little bipolar, I noticed as my face seemed to expressionless. I didn't know how to react at all and hopefully it wouldn't reflect of her but the last thing I was hated was hurting others because of my actions.

Chihaya brought the cup to her lips and took another sip of her orange juice, nervous. For some reason, it felt like her boss was interviewing her all over again... Her hands were placed on her face, trying to hide the fact that she was blushing so hard. Still not facing Joseph, she'd simply said,
"N-N-No, it's alright... I-I-I'm quite c-c-comfortable here with m-m-my parents and H-H-Haruna..."

"Might I ask where you're parents are today?" I asked simply. "It's a pleasure to have Jason working for them today but it's good know how the families doing. The Kisaragi's have been the best here and it seems the tradition it continuing."
I now noticed that she had her hands on her cheeks. A little different for a formal conversation but I think I had the reason to why her actions were like this. Her hands could cover her face but the change in her facial color compared to her hands gave away everything. The nice smile appeared on my face again as I found some laughter out of this. Of course to not be rude I kept everything inside. I could help change feelings but not emotions.

"F-Father is sick at home... M-M-Mother is tending to him..."
He smiled at Chihaya again... Just why did he care so much about her family...? Did he have close relations with them...? Probably... Her mother was a Kuma and her father had been the barkeep here for years. So she didn't doubt that he was friends with her parents. But according to what she'd heard, he was young. Even a year younger than she herself was. There wasn't really much for her to say other than to answer his questions. She slowly brought the cup to her lips again for another sip, trying to calm down.

"Oh ok," I said gently. "Tell your father I wish him the best and can't wait until he returns."
Wow she really was right. It was hard trying to spark a conversation with someone that wasn't very social. It almost made the conversation seem one sided and then each part I asked seemed forced. I had to make it more enjoyable somehow, but each idea didn't even come to mind. The only route I could think to go to was custodial. My usual route.
"Is there anything I can do for you while you're on break," I asked. I found eye contact with Jason and after a quite anime sign language brawl Jason began to prepare the water. Trying to play it off I simply brush my annoying right bang out of the way and tried to look cool.

"Ah... Th-There's really nothing you can do for me... I-I appreciate the offer though..."
Her stuttering was starting to fade a little. Maybe she was getting a little more comfortable with him? No... that couldn't be it... could it? Chihaya was sure that she'd closed her heart off to everyone except for a few select people. It was almost as if he were trying to pry it open... But not quite... It wasn't like he was forcing it open... More like... easing himself in...?

((Sorry not really in the rping mood but I'm replying anyway.)) "Ok," I replied back again. Taking a sip of some of my water I found myself in a sudden loss of words. I was a little worried because Chihaya had only just responded to each of my questions and sparking up another conversation could be trouble some but hopefully she could stand this once. I had a feeling she was feeling more comfortable with me as time progressed and I'd hate to jump three spaces forward and just fall back two.
