A burst of flame lit up the peak of Mount Fuji.....a signal of the end of something......but what? anyone watching the spectacle might think it to be a rare scientific excuse. Perhaps the sun was hitting the snow on it's peak just right causing the flaring orange aura. Perhaps the volcano beneath it was becoming live again. either way, the blast didn't last long, and no one would know what was truly behind it. No one......save for one person. Atop that mountain, a young and beautiful woman donned in a black cloak and hood with an ornate pendant stood behind a great and wonderful flaming bird. As the fiery blast dissipated, a young man could be seen, falling to the ground, unconscious. The young woman slowly pulled back her hood to reveal a face that may as well have been carved in stone. Her long purple hair blew in the chilly wind, her piercing eyes the coldest point in this forsaken world. On her left arm sat a strange device......a Soul Disk. She stepped forward towards her fallen opponent, and as she did, a soft glow emanated from the center of her disk. A small faint of an aura protruded from the boy and flowed into her disk. after a short moment, the aura faded, indicating her task was finished. Without a word, she placed the hood back on her head and her fiery phoenix faded away. Another soul......one step closer to reviving her world.

((I'm courageous ^_^)) A day off from work or more like a business meeting with officials. The Ginza District wasn't the most interesting place to be but the one place of interest to go to was of course Mt. Fugi. The beautiful mountains of Japan and the place to see it was practically where I was standing now. A nice breeze, cool air, very few people. That's what made this day feel like this was a day off work.
Finding myself just walking around the plains I just went into random thoughts. I was going to enjoy this day whether I wanted to or not.

Soon after her duel on this chilly mountaintop, Kihame sensed another soul. No, it wasn't a sixth sense or a special ability. However, when one has been in the business for as long as she, one can sense such things. Her skin tingled with anticipation. He was behind her......and down a bit further than she, but not by much. She kept her back turned to him and shuffled her deck. Her hood was already up over her head again, and so her image would not be friendly.....or perhaps he might think she was keeping warm. If that was the case, he was in for a big surprise. Inserting her deck in her Soul Disk, she breathed softly, then began the game of waiting.

Continuing to walk forward I found one of the random people standing in front of me. Just thinking he or she was just looking at the view I payed them no mind. I know sometimes they were just fascinating. The only spark of curiosity was the reason why he/she had the hood of their jacket on. Not to mention they had a duel disk on...probably a new one from Foreign Industries.
Shoving my hands in my pocket I continued my walk through Mt. Fugi.

He was right behind her.....and after a moment's hesitation, he began to walk away. Without turning around, she let her voice be heard. "Turn around.....and face me." Her voice was soft, quiet, and yet still very authoritive, commanding, and cold. She waited for his response, and she let her arms fall to her side to better reveal her duel disk, showing that it was quite different from any other.

Turning back to the woman, a confused look was on my face. She seemed very determined to duel, but other than her dark look I didn't see any reason why not to. It was almost required to have my duel disk on all the time unless I was simply around the Clan.
"Uh...," I started off. "Sure I guess." I walked over to the woman with enough dueling distance and activated my duel disk. "Let's see how this deck works out." I said drawing my five cards. "I'll let you go first."

Zane was walking back from his duel with Saki when he heard the familiar sound of Duel Disks activating. He turned his head sharply to find Joseph drawing his five cards, his opponent was someone he had yet to meet in Tokyo and yet he felt something strange emmenating from her. It was most likely just something like Deja Vu. He watched from afar, unless they'e attention would be distracted from the duel it was unlikely he would be seen, even then he was rather far away.

((how does rp dueling work here? do we duel on YVD first? or are we just going to rp a duel?))

((You simply just rp the duel. Instead of quick responses however you'll have to ask for chains if you opponent has face downs. Just so you don't get any unexpected chains in the middle of your combo.))

((i see....ok thanks!))
Kahime closed her eyes and brought her disk forward, activating it. This guy was smart.....having not refused her. However, he would not be enjoying this duel too much. She drew 5 cards and began her turn with her first draw of the game. "I place one card face down on the field, and i'll end my turn." The spell/trap appeared before her in a holographic blaze of light and her duel disk signaled the end of her turn.

Drawing my sixth card I figured that face down had to be something big. To simply lay it there and not have any worries about it what might happened. There was a possibility that I could end the duel right here but it depended on the cards. Thinking strategically I continued my move.
"I'll summon Goblin Zombie ((1100/1050)) in attack position," I said summoning the beast. "Then I'll have him attack your life points directly. If your face down can't stop him you'll lose a card from your hand."
((chains? not finish))

Without a word, she extended her right arm, a trap card being revealed in the process. Threatening Roar....a loud soundwave sounded, creating sound rings and stopping his monster's attack. Her icy blue eyes pierced right through his, as if searching deep down inside him. He'd already walked into this trap......she figured he was testing her. She waited for him to finish his move.

"Nice," I said after cleaning my ears from the Roar. "Now I see what you performed your move. Next I'll activate Terraforming to add Zombie World to my hand. I'll guess I'll end with that."

So....he intended to use the graveyards to his advantage, did he? Kahime drew her card wordlessly, then spoke in a dark, soft voice. "Because you control a monster and i do not, I am allowed to special summon a specific Monster from my hand." She laid the card in its slot and before her a large, mechanical dragon arose. "Cyber Dragon is more than enough to take your monster down. However, i have other plans for him. I summon my faithful servant......Hand of Nephthys." A young woman clad in gold armor rose beside the Cyber Dragon and placed a hand on the Machine. "Now her special ability activates. By sacrificing herself, along with my Cyber Dragon, i can summon an even greater monster from my deck." As she spoke, the two monsters began to fade and flames began to erupt from the sky. A strong gale began to blow around them, tossing her hair around. Her eyes seemed different as the spectacle happened.....her best monster was about to arrive. From the clouds a fiery light shone, large tongues of flame licking out from behind the puffs of moisture, and from those flames emerged a great and giant bird made of fire. "Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys! Arise my great beast!" The great Phoenix screeched as she reached the field, her wings bursting out in flame. "I will place one card face down behind my Phoenix......and send my great Phoenix to attack your zombie! Sacred Phoenix! Attack with Sacred Flame!" The Phoenix reared back and flapped its wings, sending a spiral of flame towards the Goblin Zombie, entirely engulfing it.

Hazumi sat quietly on a rather large rock, watching the battle below her. Her backpack sat beside her filled with her things and she hugged her jacket closer to herself to ward off the cold. Blowing a strand of black hair from her eyes, she cleared her vision to continue watching the duel as if it was the libretto of a beautiful opera. "Such a beautiful country this is," she said quietly. "Duel watching is just what I need to entertain me on this dull mountain."
