"Ever imagined someone putting a Card ID Number reader in one of those holsters? Rather convenient if you ask me. It leaves you hands free for say, visualization dueling."
He smirked.
"Of course, unless you happen to be holding some random pretty girl's hand, I'm just making this up."
He lightly elbowed her after saying this, never exactly looking at her while saying it. He started to examine the card images to make sure they were sound.

And what was going on dawned even fuller on her but she didn't bother to correct it. Instead she looked to the side to regain her composure, though her heartbeat was going a bit faster.
"It is rather convenient. No fuss about loading in decks anymore." She replied, and she lightly held his hand a little tighter before taking it away. Then, she stood beside him with her hands behind her back and observed what he was doing with a bit of a curious look.

He slightly mocked her mannerism, putting that same hand behind his back as well. With his other hand, he proceeded to summon a card, and initiate an attack. The card rim turned white and got bumped out of the hands cards, while another motion made the hand disappear. The card that was summoned was Dark Armed Dragon, and as he commanded an attack, the large figure unleashed a wave of darkness over the rest of the field.
"I'd say it's not bad. However, a mobile version minus the environment, of course, would be something interesting."

"That it would, but I don't know. It might be inconvenient. A duel disc is convenient because you just slip the cards in and then a projection shows up. However, if you have perhaps a chip to store your deck onto and implant that into a device that projects the image..." She thought for a moment, gazing into the card. "The security on it would have to be tight. It's far too easy with everything digital to copy decks and claim them as your own. Also, it would have to depend on the design. If you have a duel disc which stores your information just on it's hard drive and you select a deck to run with, it might be more convenient. However if you keep a store of chips with you, one for each deck, that might be more convenient because it's more compact."
And of course, she was rambling, spouting out ideas as she thought of them, and she started pacing around the projection and Tyson as she talked. When she got on one of these inspiration rants, she tended to use her hands to speak a lot and kind of... she knew people were in the room, but she wouldn't acknowledge them for a moment, as if she were envisioning the things she was thinking about in her head.

"I wonder what would happen if someone got a mind reader on you. Potential Overload." He mumbled quietly while listening to her.
"Perhaps." He said, speaking loudly again. "I think the ability to store decks on memory after reading them would be nice. However, Read-Only-Memory on-board of the device would make deck copy protection a lot...easier."

"True, true." She said, completely disregarding the mind reader comment. She hadn't heard it clearly anyway.
She shrugged. "Well, it's something to think about. I'll probably have some time later to think about it when I actually have something to write with with me." She said.
She looked at it for a little bit and sighed. "What I wouldn't give to test out this dueling system..."

"I'm guessing you don't have a deck with you?" He asked with a raised eyebrow. "Quite surprising, that is, if you ask me."

"No, but I know the make-up of my deck like the back of my hand." She snapped her fingers. "Now there's a good feature if this were to become more compact, a way to construct decks onto the system itself and test them."
((Good Lord, we're turning dueling into the next X-Box 360's.))

"You might as well have just said 'Hey, let's put Yu-Gi-Oh! Virtual Desktop onto a dueling system for us. Good thing they're free license. However, of course, we couldn't let them do much more than test the decks. Wouldn't be very fair unless perhaps there was an all-proxy dueling mode."
(I know right? Future stuff is awesome.)

"I suppose, but that might be even a detracting feature, putting on YVD. People would ask what the difference is between that and a computer, especially if they're paying more for what they might consider to be 'just a pretty light's show'. Besides, putting that on there, people wouldn't be compelled to buy the cards anymore, so that might gouge into the business in that department. But if there was a system where you had to input the card's code..." She thought for a moment.
"As I said, I can think better when I've got somewhere to write this all down." She said with a shrug.

"Fair enough there, Shee. However, I still say optical-scanning on cards would work much better. Simply because, it makes it much safer, and more secure. Makes it much harder to forge cards. Either way, we have plenty of time to talk about that a bit later." He smiled towards her, preceding a shrug.

She nodded and stood there for a moment, pondering and then shrugged.
"Where to next Tyson?" She asked.

"I'll first ask this. Any questions about any of this stuff that you've seen already?" He asked curiously, raising an eyebrow.

"As you said, we have plenty of time to talk about that later. I'm pretty sure how it all operates by just looking at the mechanics. If I get extremely curious, I'll slip down here in my spare time and look at the blueprints." She said.

"Once you get your set of keys for the elevator, of course. No?" He smiled and shrugged.
