"Travelling forever... No freedom... and endless tunnel.. and now I can finally step on solid ground..."
Makuro opened his eyes. What he saw: buildings, buildings that seemed to be grouped together inside a larger building. Each building had a name. All different. He saw what he would later determine to be human beings, walking through, back and forth, in and out of these smaller buildings.
"People... other Humites? Impossible... They wouldn't just send us through space and time to end up back where we came. Besides, these buildings don't even look right... ...Where am I?"
he checked his belongings. His special Duel Disk was still equipped to his arm, and he still had his backpack. Everything was there, except...
"Wait, where is... everyone else...?"

Book in hand, Yui had been walking around the Tokyo mall rather oblivious. She had a small amount of spending money, and being an impulsive spender, just had to get out and buy something, useful or not. She didn't pay attention to where she went, or which store she went into. She just went where her subconsciously wandering feet lead her. This eventually lead to walking into the back of a silver-haired person.
"Oh, excuse me. I'm not very good at watching where I am going.." apologized Yui.

"Huh? No, it's fi-" Makuro quickly turned around as he was talking and he stopped as soon as his eyes hit her. He immediately blushed a little as he closed his eyes and apologized. "N-No, it's fine! I was just standing around anyway!"
"Wow, at least the language these people use is the same as mine. Unless... what I said turns out to be an insult in their language!" Makuro's face turned flustered as he started panicking in his head, breathing quicker than usual.

Yui closed her book to face the person whom she collided with, bringing her gaze from her novella to the silver-haired man. She noticed the reddening of his cheeks, but payed more attention to his rapid breathing. She took a step forward, extending an arm towards the strange man.
"Are... You okay, sir? Your cheeks are red, and you're breathing heavily..."
Yui showed genuine concern for the male, gently taking hold of his arm.
"Please allow me to get you something cold to drink. I'm sure you'll feel better.." she encouraged the male.

"Um, you don't have to but..." Makuro wasn't good at meeting new people. He always panicked when meeting someone new. She was offering him a drink; why would she just offer to someone she met randomly? He had never seen a Humite do something like that.
"My heart's acting up again... Darn it..."

Yui shook her head, and promptly began to lead him to the nearest relaxation area.
"Of course I have to! It's common courtesy to help someone!" Yui exclaimed.
"Please rest here for a moment. I'll return with some cold water." Yui instructed the male, trotting into the distance.

Makuro found a bench and sat down. "Commom courtesy? People DO that here?" He tried calming his heart as he sat there, waiting for the unknown girl to come back.

Yui returned with a 32oz cup of iced water. Extending an arm, she offered the promised cold beverage to the male.
"I hope this will help you feel better. You really weren't looking so well. Why are you out if you're not feeling well?" she inquired of him. Yui found a seat across from him and lowered herself to his level.
"I'm sorry for being so enthusiastic. My name is Yui." Yui introduced herself

Makuro took the water from her and started drinking. Afterwards, he sighed in relief. "My name's Makuro. Nice to meet you." He took another drink of the water.
"And I'm fine. It's just my..." He was about to mention his heart, but he thought it'd be best not to say. "It's just my... first time here, actually. I wanted to explore." That was true too, since he just "appeared" in the mall randomly.

Yui smiled. "Truth be told, it's my first time here, too. I've only recently moved here. I had been exploring the mall in my own way until I collided with you. So tell me, are you feeling better, Makuro?"
Yui's biggest difficulty was getting past the wall of finding a worthy topic to converse about, though through their accident, she managed to overcome that obstacle, having her first meaningful encounter in Tokyo.
"Nervousness? Anxiety? Panic? Something similar? My mothers side of the family, myself included have these problems, and is often debilitating. I hope you're not like us in that aspect. You looked very distraught, so I just had to help you." Yui explained openly to Makuro.

"Yes, something like that. My heart was just ... born... very weak. I'll be fine though." Makuro looked up at her, then looked down again. "How come ... this always happens...?"
Makuro quickly got up. "Uh, I have some friends I need to find. See you later!" He panicked as he ran off ahead, having no clue where he was going.
"See you later... maybe..."
