His dark green cape billowing behind him, the ever so observant faux-hero traveled among the city. He remained blissfully unaware of the recent happening in the area, the ever looming danger that seemed to lurk beyond every corner.
"Hmm, no news on the Obvious-O-Meter." he declared, looking down at his watch, which stopped ticking about 14 years ago. "Danger levels are only at level 1."
Today, Captain Obvious would try to enjoy a lesiurely patrol of the park, but if he really thought the area was free of danger, he was in for a rude awakening.
His patrol brought him to the Hedge Maze, a staple of the area for the past few years. Trimmed neatly by an ever loving gardener, it could be a prime spot to lose someone, or something.

Hazumi was in the Hedge Maze again. She was happily trying to retrace her steps from the day before to get back to the center of the maze. The woman gripped her backpack tightly with one hand as she walked by the man, humming quietly.

"You're enjoying the day as-" the Captain stopped. "Ah!"
He jumped back, startled at the appearance of the female. A dozen thoughts interrupted his head. How long has she been here? Had she been here long enough to hear his lovely rendition of the classical song, "Baby Got Back"?
But she was clearly not dangerous. Afterall, the Obvious-O-Meter still had her labeled as only a level 1 threat. "C-can I help you?"

The young woman blinked and turn her head to look at the Captain. "Ah... who are you?" She asked quietly, stopping where she was.

"Who am I?!" He seemed, almost insulted. But, it was a chance to hear the sound of his own voice.
"My name is Captain Obvious, Defender of Truth, Justice and the Easily Understood Way!" He looked at the girl, not particularly paying attention to her as he continued on with his lengthy introduction.
"Forty three years ago, Zordon and Alpha 5 called upon 5 teens with attitude. When they showed up, he gave each of them a magic ring." He stopped to see if she was paying attention or not. Even if she wasn't, he probably wasn't going to stop talking. "Kwami, with the power of Earth. Wheeler, with the Power of Fire. Kimberly with the power of the Pteradactyl Fire Bird Thunderzord Power. Moto, with the power of lucksacking. And Ma-Ti with the power of heart." He smiled triumphantly. "From those magic rings was I born, but that does not end my incredible tale!"
"When I was 5, I was shot by a radioactive spider. As me and the Planet Rangers walked out of a movie theater, a criminal showed up and shot everyone point blank." A more serious expression now on his face, almost pained as he recalled his completely nonsensical origin story.
"The spider was the last surviver of the planety Krypton, sent to Earth to take down the Planet Rangers. Unfortunately for him, he only wounded me with a radioactive bullet. But that didn't kill me... I only got angry. And the radioactive spider didn't like me when I got angry." From lament, his face turned to one of seriousness, almost as if he recalled the rage he felt back then.
"The spider and I had an epic battle, and though I won the battle, I came out of it blind. Fortunately, my other senses compensated and I killed the Radioactive Spider." This story is really getting ridiculous.
"I had to build new eyes with my business, Stark Industries. I forget the rest of my origin story though..." He blinked twice, unaware for how long he spoke... since his watch stopped working about 14 years ago.
"And what about you little miss?

She stood there watchcing and listening, trying to put the pieces of his story together. Feeling a headache brewing, she placed two fingers to her temple and rubbed gently. "Ah... well, my name is Hazumi Zetsumei and I'm from an island off the coast of the US. I was born and raised in a small city where my parents were eventually brutally murdered. I traveled a lot and now ended up here."
Hazumi said this all with a bright smile before checking her watch. An hour had already gone by. "And, I am eighteen years old, good sir."

"Ah, eighteen. I remember my teenage years." a look of nostalgia in his eye, as he recalled the time he fell into the sewer, and became a radioactive ninja turtle. "I grew out of it though." He said, not revealing what he thought of whilst lost in his own daydream.
He then remembered the first thing she said. "Brutally murdered!?" he exclaimed loudly. "How absolutely dreadful! Why, if I were there I'd be sure to whallop any murders!"

"Well, dear Captain, it is rather late now, don't you think?" She said calmly. "By the way, what is a... ah... hero such as yourself doing here of all places?"
Hazumi faintly wondered if this poor man was somehow dropped on his head or beaten senseless as a child when he was younger to somehow manage to get how he is.

"Late?" Time was never really spelled out very well, and he looked around the area for signs of what time it was. But before he could, the girl snapped him out of it.
"Oh yeah, I'm on patrol!" a smile and a dramatic pose. "I'm on the lookout for evil creatures and horrible criminals. You wouldn't happen to have any leads, would you?" So, would the girl admit she was a humite or continue making small talk and lead the "hero" on?

(OCC: Hehe... what do you think?)
"Evil creatures...? Horrible criminals? I haven't seen any, dear Captain, but if you don't mind, may I go on patrol with you?" Hazumi smiled brightly, looking at him.
