After spending some time getting to the top of mountain, or rather, hill, Saki stopped and sighed. It wasn't supposed to make her this tired getting here. She remembered that she used to be able to get up here without breaking a sweat. She must really be out of shape.
Saki looked around, and saw nobody around. 'Good, time to catch my breath.' She did wonder why Zane, the person she met last time, asked her to come here with her deck. Wondering won't do any good though, as he will probably reveal the reason sooner or later.

Zane had been waiting nearby and so he slid down from his hiding spot as a cloud of dust lifted itself around him. He found himself thinking differently around Saki, she calmed him somewhat and he wanted to know why. That was why he had called her here for a duel, it was also why he bore a duel disk on his arm.
"Hi Saki, You ready for a duel?"
He activated his duel disk and the adavanced holographic systems activated as he drew six cards for his hand. Obviously he intended on moving first. He glanced over his hand quickly before starting off his turn strong. He wanted to put Saki to the test.
"I summon Solar Flare Dragon to start us off."
Solar Flare Dragon Attrib: Fire Type: Pyro/Effect Level:4 Atk: 1500 Def: 1000 While you control another Pyro-Type monster, this card cannot be attacked. Inflict 500 damage to your opponent during the End Phase of your turn.
The monster appeared in a burst of flame and looked towards Saki with a fierce glare in it's eyes. It snorted smoke from it's nostrils and glared at her once more before taking it's place on Zane's side of the field in attack mode. The flames around it's body blazing constantly.
"Then I'll set one spell or trap and have my Solar Flare Dragon inflict 500 damage to you're life points as I end my turn."
The monster roared as a flame sprung from it's mouth towards Saki. Hopefully inflicting the intended damage.
"Make you're move Saki."

Saki is surprised more than anything. A duel, here? Now? Well, she suppose that Zane was serious about this, as he has already made the first move. She activated her duel disc and put her deck in. 'I could always ask why later, right now, let's accept his challenge.', she thought to herself.
As he finishes his turn, he ended with with summoning a monster that's all too familiar to her. Solar Flare Dragon, a card that she has used in the past when she had a pyro-burn deck. That's in the past though, right now... she needed to focus. Saki drew her initial hand and wondered what to do with it. She smiled sheepishly again and said in a voice lacking confidence, "Mystical Space Typhoon on your face-down."

Zane couldn't help but smile, he couldn't help but smile. She obviously wasn't stupid but she would need to play out of the box later on or she would end up regreting some of her moves.
"Magic Cylinder is destroyed."

Saki put her hand over her lips, thinking of what her next move would be. Still not too confident about this, she pulled out a card from her hand, "I will go for summoning Birdface in attack position." A giant bird-like creature appeared, poised and ready to attack.
Birdface (1600/1600) WIND/Winged-Beast Effect: When this card is sent to the Graveyard as a result of battle, you can add 1 "Harpie Lady" from your Deck to your hand. Then shuffle your Deck.
Saki is not too sastified with that move, at least, not yet. "Next up, I will activate the field spell Rising Air Current, and that boosts all WIND monster attack by 500 while decreasing their defense by 400." She smiled nervously and called Birdface to attack Solar Flare Dragon. After seeing her bird destroy Zane's dragon, she bit her lip, thinking, before deciding to set a spell or trap in the m/t zone. She looked up at Zane and said, "I guess it's your turn now."

Zane nodded, and drew a card before summoning another monster from his hand.
Flame Spirit Ignis Attrib: Fire Type: Pyro/Effect Level:4 Atk: 1500 Def: 1200 You can Tribute 1 face-up FIRE monster to inflict 100 damage to your opponent for each FIRE monster in your Graveyard.
the monster appeared from a barrage of fire balls that fell from the sky before it was consumed by that very fire to be replaced by another monster.
Goka, the Pyre of Malice Attrib: Fire Type: Zombie/Effect Level:6 Atk: 2200 Def: 1900 You can Special Summon this card from your hand if you control a FIRE monster. When this card is Special Summoned this way, destroy 1 FIRE monster you control. During your Standby Phase, Special Summon 1 "Fireball Token" (Pyro-Type/FIRE/Level 1/ATK 100/DEF 100) in Defense Position. You can Tribute 1 other FIRE monster to have this card gain 500 ATK, until the End Phase.
"I attack you're Birdface with Goka."
The monster eyed it's target for a moment before sending a barrage of fireballs towards it. Witing to see what would happen next. Zane wondered how much longer he would hold out for.

Saki winced as her monster is destroyed. She didn't expect a tribute monster appearing so quickly, but at least her monster's sacrifice will not be in vain. "I will use Birdface's effect to add a Harpie Lady 1 from my deck to my hand." Saki shook her head as this is not looking good at all.

Zane nodded, without the use of another card Saki's monster would be useless. Even if she could destroy his monster it would decrease her field and hand advantages rapidly if she had to keep it up. He motioned over his hand before signalling that he had ended his turn for now.
"Make you're move."

She drew her next card, and said softly to herself, "Here goes nothing." Saki set two more cards in the m/t zone, and then set her monster. She looked up at Zane again and said, "Nothing I could do, so... it's your turn again."

Zane raised an eyebrow as she set two more cards in her backfield and eyed a card in his hand. He wondered how his next turn would go if she had no way to negate. It could prove to greatly damage her current status in the match. He drew a card and activated the one he had eyed last turn after a small fireball burst onto the field via Goka's effect.
Fireball Token Pyro FIRE Level 1 ATK 100 DEF 100
"Heavy Storm."
Heavy Storm Group: Spell Card Type: Spell Destroy all Spell and Trap Cards on the field.
A vicious wind started to pick up on the field and the flames around Goka began to swirl slightly as if the wind only infuriated them.

Saki thought to herself for a moment and considered her choices. It's either to not counter, high cost but safe, or low cost but definitely not safe. After torturing herself for a while making a decision, she decided to play it on the safe side. In a hesitant voice, she said, "Solemn Judgment to negate Heavy Storm." Saki is still not sure if she made the right decision, but since she made it already...

Zane nodded and continued on with his turn. "Summon Rose, Warrior of Revenge

Saki braced herself as her Harpie Lady 1 was destroyed, and also as a direct attack landed. There was simply nothing to chain with, and with that, she knows that she is in trouble.

Rose lept gracefully towards Saki and sent out her whip flailing towards her life point metre. Watching it drop by 1900 Zane signalled for his turn to end.

((Aww.... it was almost over anyways, but okay ^^))
Saki drew her next card, and it was probably the worse card that she could have drawn. Then, by her calculations, there are only around 8 cards that can save her at this time. "The only thing that I can do now is to stall.", she smiled wryly as she said that, as she knows that the chances of not losing is slim to nil.
"First off, I will discard my Magic Drain to activate my face-down trap, Hysteric Party." This was the card that she was saving in case of an emergency, or when she has a lot of Harpie Ladies in her graveyard. This does count as an emergency though. "I will special summon my only Harpie Lady in the graveyard with Hysteric Party's effect." She then took out the last card in her hand and summoned it, "Harpie's Pet Baby Dragon, guess I will summon him to the field." She then motioned Harpie Lady 1 to attack Zane's warrior and for her dragon to attack his token.
Saki then end her turn and added remorsefully, "This might buy me a turn, but I do still feel bad for using the Pet Baby Dragon as just a stall though."
