It was that time of day again…
It had taken a good amount of time for Xenneth to get his work done today. Most of the watering was a cooperation between himself and his sisters, but of course, they had stepped out for today. He had no doubts that they were going to have fun elsewhere. He was too nice to consider that they were skipping out on the routine to go downtown and find some trouble to get into. He was so ditzy and nice for his own good. It was as if he was a sweet as sugar, but the salty taste would come if you’d rub him the wrong way. His endless amount of patience saw to him not wanting to be that way most of the time seeing he had nothing better to do.
The sprinklers turned on as they sounded off sprinkling in all directions. Xenneth’s right hand moving along a hologram touch screen as it browsed the routine settings for the sprinkler system.
”Let‘s see…” he had begun to say, ”Roses and Violets get the same even amount of water. The Hepaticas gets a little less today than the Rose, and the ferns…well…”
He was swayed in decision applying his experience with plants. His lips twisted in an indecisive manner as he had started to think he forgot something. During the day, visitors came to the gardens, but he didn’t expect anyone to be about seeing he saw everyone leave, or so he thought. Then there was the matter that he had already supplied plant food that would soak and break down with the water. That had taken quite the while seeing his sisters were gone.
”Oh!” he had said, ”…that plant!” he had said lifted his right index finger with a blissful expression on his face. He started to dial in keys and digits once more on a hologram screen before he had brought his final decisions to an end.
”I wanted to look at that plant that Parfaye mentioned in the garden. It sounded so pretty.”
As the sun hung over high in the gardens, he had his hand down letting the rays touch his neck. As if it was a sign for him to look up, he picked his head up with a delicate little smile on his face. His eyes digressing from his work, just for a that moment as he couldn’t help but to notice…
”It‘s such a wonderful day today.”

Chihaya had entered the gardens after having gotten away from the Kuma base. She sighed as she entered, wiping away the last of her tears. That man back at the base sure was scary... Especially for someone like Chihaya. But she was fine here, at the garden. It was a place for her to relax and not have to worry about much, surrounded by the flowers and the scents and the sights. It was truly something to behold. It was so peaceful, too. No signs of the clan war here, whatsoever. Sitting under a tree, she put on a content smile. It'd been a long time since she could do this...

”Hello there!”
It was only so sudden that Xenneth had found the girl. Why wouldn’t he? The time it took for him to walk about the area and see a color that didn’t blend with the green and patterned pigments within the garden was only a vibrant second that it took for him to walk with the projected screen among his finger tips and stop to see the girl within the corner of his eye. He was observant, and very much aware. He had learned this over the years. The future was vast, and one thing his sisters stressed when they left to do their business was for him to keep his wits about.
He stood only meters away from where this girl had sat. His right hand lifted as a thumb gestured towards the projected light screen that seemed like a notepad his grasp was nearly wrapped around as well as his left hand to his side with fingers slipped upon a pinch of his white robe that wrapped around his usual clothing. This was only his gardening attire of course for when he was here. Sneakers and his rough attire wasn’t thought appropriate for himself.
”Welcome to Yebisu Garden Palace!”
His welcome was not only gentle, but it seemed so appropriate. A person like him in such a beautiful place had exuberated nothing short of equilibrium for the atmosphere. His appearance was feminine, but one could not discriminate that in anyway. Besides, he was for the eyes. He was as light on them as any other flower as one would say. He didn’t think much of it.
He was just another person that worked in this garden.

"AH!"
This boy's sudden appearance had startled her, as she leaned against the tree further, her palms held against her chest in fear. She examined him, not really knowing... whether it was a male or a female. Thus, she didn't know whether or not to be scared. Nor did she know whether or not to be nervous. She simply stared at the new person. She'd heard the voice, but that was also feminine. Was it a girl...? That'd make things better for her, but she was still terribly shy.
"I-I'm sorry I-I-I didn't see you there..."

”No. Don‘t mind that at all…” he had said, ”I‘m sorry that I startled you. I pay visit to everyone that visits this garden. It‘s my duty after all. I‘m only lucky that I found you before I turned on the sprinklers for this morning.”
He had smiled blissfully as ever. Offering a right hand to this girl who sat down by the tree, he switched his left as he placed that one in his lap to hold his robe properly in place. His sapphire colored eyes staying opened as they added a good natured essence, sort of an indescribable good that was rare, even in this world. It wasn’t strange in this young man’s case since he was a relic that seen enough to know when he should smile, and when he should frown.
”Here, let me help you. May I ask what your name is if you don‘t mind, Miss?” he had requested.

Chihaya listened to this person's words, still unknowing of the gender. The person's words... they were far too gentle to be any male that she'd ever met, beyond her father and a few other males at the bar. But the voice... it was so... feminine...? Why was this boy so confusing, and yet... Chihaya wasn't all that nervous. She extended her hand to catch his, picking herself up with his help. Still being shy though, she of course blushed, and looked in a different direction, not knowing what to say until he's asked her for her name.
"Ch-Chihaya... Kisaragi..."

”Chi-ha-ya….”
He had pronounced the name brokenly as he stared at her with a questionable face, but it reverted back to that blissful smile as he let out a little laugh to himself.
”Chihaya! It‘s nice to meet you Chihaya. Your name isn‘t one I‘ve heard before, so I just had to say it so myself to make sure I got it right.”
It was a surprise for him. Considering the name and his origin, it had been years and he had never heard of such a name. He had to sound it out to himself and ask himself possibly wanting to know the possibilities of the origin of these names. Before he could say anything more, he had let go of the girls hand as he stood up straight and lifted his index finger to it and pressing it to her right cheek where the heart like marking had sat.
”My name is Xenneth Hikari!” he had introduced, ”…I would let you meet my sisters to assured of those who work here at the Garden, but they‘re out at the moment. They my older…well…younger…eh…” he had paused with an awkward expression splashed upon his face. ”It‘s a strange relationship. They‘re my foster sisters after all.” he had said with an awkward expression.
It was only strange because of the fact that he couldn’t figure out the ages between two in Harpy years. He would forget if they were older, or were they younger. They could many of his life times where he could be deemed younger, but the fact was that he was the oldest because of his endeavor that cursed him with his youth for the moment. Still, he thought nothing of it as he looked upon the young girl with a gentle expression upon his face that he would give any guest of the garden, that he would give any of these flowers for that matter.
”Anyway, what brings you here to the gardens? Are you here to look at the flowers too? I have taken good care of them to please any guests that come by.”

"X-Xen... neth..."
Chihaya had sounded it out in her head and aloud, trying to get used to saying it. It was certainly different, considering she'd never heard of such a name. Just as he hadn't heard of hers. She dusted herself off, realizing she was just a bit dirty from sitting under the tree and she looked around at the flowers, remembering just how calming this place was. She couldn't help but let out another smile as she slowly replied,
"It's... just an escape is all... From work... life... reality... I-I guess you work here then...?"

"Why yes I do."
He had examined her seeing her smile for once. She seemed shy, very shy. He could recall someone like that at one time. Violet hair, always frowning and trembling at the sound of a new voice. She reminded him of...well...himself. It was disturbing that he was as squirmish as a little girl which was an even more embarassing fact. Turning his face away from the girl he had looked over the distant gardens and their well trimmed hedges. Over those hedges and upon the other side aligning the walk ways of cobblestone were enclosed arrangements of flowers.
"Except...I wouldn't call it an escape. I think...this truly is reality."
He said it so dreamily, so gentle. He had truly thought that nonetheless. Some would think of it quite pathetic, but he didn't. He had a different way of thinking. As you grow older, you would realize things that you wouldn't realize before. Depending on what your eyes saw and your ears heard through history, your perspective would take form. Xenneth had seen darkness most of that time, and when he finally saw the light when he awaken, he started to appreciate it. He appreciated that and the sound of nature's music itself.

"A reality...? Here...?"
Xenneth truly had a unique point of view. A place like this, a reality? Well, he was right, though. This place was much too beautiful to be any fantasy that she'd ever had. And he had taken care of it this well? It was certainly a marvel that he tended to this with his sisters... however many he had. Then she'd realized that she was smiling in front of him. Blushing, she'd covered her face with her hands, not knowing what to say. Very few people got to see her face like that, so it was almost like unveiling herself to him. She looked at him through her fingers and said,
"S-S-Sorry... I-I'm shy a-around new people..."

Xenneth had chuckled slightly once again coveting his mouth in a playful manner. It was so funny. He swore he saw himself back then like this, but he could remember some other things that shyness had brought. Concealed and bottled feelings that came out at the right time. It was the meek that would inherit the Earth as always said, but Xenneth inheriting one of the most precious gardens upon the Earth was something close to that. It seemed like it was something woven into a destiny…known…he didn’t believe in that. He had to admit, it was pretty close. After all his shyness had brought him through, he emerged upon the other side of the personality calm and care free with youth to spare in this new world.
”I can see that.”
He simply replied with that before giving another light chuckle. He had uncovered his mouth staring towards the girl with his hands reaching into both of his sleeves. He had stepped back as he had remained a short distance away from the girl as his eyes seemed to digress to the sun hovering above.
”It‘s almost time…you might want to step back.”
The timing was uncanny. At that moment one of the small hubs had popped up as a small amount of water started to spray about the plants.

"E-Eh?"
As she'd said this, the sprinkler had activated, and Chihaya was caught off guard. When the water made contact with her skin, she couldn't help but give a loud yelp, her clothes getting wet as she felt the cold droplets touch upon her. Running across to where Xenneth was and hiding behind him. She'd shivered a bit, since she was cold. The only things keeping her warm were the sun's rays, as her body shivered. She hadn't gotten that wet, but her shirt was pretty soaked, the fabric of the azure shirt sticking to her skin. Did he know that that was the timing of the sprinklers? If that was the case, a warning would have been nice... Despite the warning he'd given her seconds before they had gone off.

Xenneth had whipped his arms around quickly reaching out the white robe to the young girl. It was off his body in a simple movement enough to reveal his true attire of white jacket and pants. His build seeming more of a man with the large cloak off. If he wasn’t wearing it, anyone would mistake him for a female. The short sleeves however with the light muscles seemed more masculine than anything unless it was a tomboy, and even so, he still kept that same smile as he reached the large robe to her.
”Very sorry…I didn‘t realize it was exactly time until I had seen the sun.”
He had looked up as he had smiled to the site of the glowing ball of light in the sky while still offering the clothing to the girl. ”Usually I can tell when the sprinklers come on, but seeing as I suddenly found you, I had lost track of time a little.” he had said apologizing to the best of his abilities on the behalf.
”Please, you should get warm. I really wouldn‘t like your first memory in this beautiful place would be where you gotten a cold.” he had explained.

"O-O-Oh... I-I see..."
She'd put the robe around herself, hugging herself by her sides to try and keep warm. Taking notice of a bench, Chihaya had moved over and sat down, shivering. When was the last time she'd gotten wet like that...? She couldn't even remember... She'd pulled the robe closer, trying not to show that she was cold. Looking over at Xenneth, she once again tried to describe him in her head. He was... much more masculine than she was lead to believe. He actually had the muscle to be said that he was a male. For a second, she stared at him, but, realizing what she'd done, she blushed and looked down at the floor, trying to regain her composure.
"Th-Thank you for this..."

”You‘re very welcome.”
He had stepped to her side, but didn’t sit down. He simply over looked the gardens as they were bathed in the speckles of water that started to run off their leaves like dew drops. The grass beneath his feet was dry, but seemed sleek. It wasn’t artificial. It was pretty much the sure thing. He had smiled as he placed his hands into his lap. It was in the same style as if he had placed his hands into his sleeves and let them rest on his lap. It was apparent now why he did it as his fingers motioned at each other. He was resuming the habit of twiddling his fingers…an old nervous habit he hadn’t let go of.
While he was staring over the plants, it was like he was savoring something…the sight of something that he wouldn’t see a lot in this time.
”Did you know…” he had begun to say, ”…this is one of few places in Tokyo where plants are most abundant?”
He had watched as the sprinklers had came to a halt. The mechanical sound of them retracting and becoming hidden once again as they halted at different times, some still pouring on water for some plants, and some giving their fill early, he had watched as they all vanished after a few seconds after the first leaving only a silence as the sun rays had poured in making the small droplets twinkle. His eyes seeming to be slightly saddened before he heard a lovely tweet similar to an opening melody. He let those eyes digress and stare towards it’s source. A single yellow bird along the cobblestone walkway that he stared at.
”It‘s sort of sad.”
His words directed to the young girl as he stood there.
