Yeah, it's such an annoyance to have the forum shrink down to only take up a fraction of the screen. I mean, I may not have the best monitor in the world, but I just don't like seeing the forum shrink and be surrounded by the city background (despite how nice it is, I came her more for content then background shopping.)`
So like, could the forum be made to look wider or something? Preferably the length of the "info and chat box" thing on the main page.

Bump because it's still bugging me and seems to have gone ignored. <_<

Hm. We haven't had any complaints about this really. I've thought that the forum was plenty wide, and still fine for RP content.
What is your monitor size? 1280 x 860?

You guys and wide monitors. >.>
Widescreen monitors will display content differently. Hmmmmm.
But you see, not everyone has a wide screen monitor, and there is no code I know that can allow different backgrounds for different sizes. See my dilemma?

Can't you just... set it the default? Let everyone else's own monitor decide for itself. <_<

Problem with this one is, there's so many monitor sizes, you can't make everyone happy on this, you see. On top of this, widening the board does not make the text larger, so it can't be an issue of viewing the text.
If I widen it, it's going to piss off as many people as it makes happy. However, I understand now that I really need to make the backgrounds larger, that is for sure. I'll make them 1600 x 1200 now, or something, so they don't repeat.

I'm not saying to make it wider, I'm saying to... not make it smaller. Despite having a robot as a character, I'm not very technical or whatever, but I think leaving whatever line of the code blank would make the board go to default, which means your own computer and monitor decide how wide the forum is.

The smarter thing now that I think about it would be to do it in percents. Which, instead of making yours smaller than everyone else's, it would take up the same percent of the screen that everyone else's does, except your screen would be larger. At least, if that's how Proboards anticipates code. Seriously, though, I can guarantee that if it was wider, it wouldn't look quite right.

I'm really not use to wide as is, so it being so would just be....bothersome.
That's just my opinion though, but as point trying to say, this would displease some....like me....the person who hates wide stuff and what not.

Like I said, there's no way to really fix this for everyone. Like I said, the best solution is to make a larger background so it doesn't repeat.

The problem's not the background. The problem is that the forum is too short, and it takes too much scrolling to read a full topic.

The problem is with scrolling a page?
See, this is another one of those things that are rather...nitpicky.
Like the refreshing CBox I dealt with a bit ago.
It's really not necessary, and like the reason for someone wanting the Refreshing Cbox was because they just wanted a Cbox that you don't have to refresh, Like the Join Button ones, this is something else rather nitpicky.
Difference is that, the refreshing Cbox had no complaints really, it was just there.
This one, I can only do one way or the other really, and the margin adjustment would mess with some, and not only that, but ruin the design of the forum, and not only that, but draw complaints from as many people as would give thanks.
However, the fact of trying to redesign the forum like that is rather troubling.
Like I said, the best option would be to use percents, so it would take up around 65 percent of your screen instead of only a certain amount of pixels. It wouldn't be as big as you're asking for, but much more friendly to your monitor.
