'Wow, this place certainly is different...' Mari thought to herself, 'So many things here and I have no clue what half of them does.'
As she was deep in thought, she wasn't really paying attention as to where she was going. And as a result, she almost broke something that seems like an ancient vase. "Phew..." Mari let out a sigh of relief, as she can never afford to pay for that if she broke it.

"You simply must take better care then that." Seemingly from nowhere, an oddly dressed man appeared. He seemed a few months late for Halloween, if Halloween is still celebrated in the year 3000 mind you. Between his green mask and dark ensemble, one might assume he were some kind of burglar, but if he was one he sure was doing a terrible job of not being seen. In the brightness of the multiple chandeliers and gorgeous lamps, he stood out like a sore thumb.
"You must always be vigilant against the forces of evil!" he exclaimed, rather dramatically for no readily explainable reason.

'First, a guy with a pulsing dark aura, and now it's a crazy guy. Just not my day, I guess...' She sighed, but since it would be just flat-out rude to ignore him, Mari decided to have a conversation with him.
"Speaking of forces of evil..." She trailed off, as she was sure that if she had told him about the guy with the dark aura, he would go after the guy and get himself killed in the process. Since Mari hasn't been in the city for long, she didn't want to indirectly kill someone so quickly. So she quickly tried to change the topic, "Umm... nice day today, do you not agree?"

"Ah yes, pleasent flying weather it is." he spoke with a bit of a smug smile, despite never having flown in his life... except that one time. But it was pretty well known by the staff of the local hospital that it was almost definately a Coke and Starburst induced dream.
Captain Obvious couldn't quite tell that she was withholding information, so he just kept yammering on about how awesome he was or something. "And what brings you to this store?"

'It's official, this guy is a complete nutcase...' She shrugged, 'At least he doesn't seem to be a dangerous nutcase, just a very unobservant one.'
"Just looking around. Haven't been here for long so I am just giving myself a self-guide tour of the place." Mari answered the question that the weirdo asked. She paused, gave it some thought, and decided to humor him a little, "But the real question is, what are you doing here? Shouldn't you be fighting evil or something?"

"It's been a bit of a slow day, however when the Obvious Signal goes off, I'll be sure to leap into action!" He struck a dramatic pose, unaware that there was no Obvious Signal.
"Self guided!?" He raised a cocked eyebrow to her, though since he wore a mask she probably could not see it. "That won't do at all citizen!" he exclaimed. "Super heroes must always assist those in need, whether they be adorable kittens in trees or fighting evil loli robots filling Enrichment Centers with a deadly neurotoxin." He stopped for a minute.
"After all, I've lived in this city since I was your age. I still remember it like it was yesterday..."

'Either this city is more chaotic than I first thought, or the obvious signal obviously doesn't exist...' To be quite honest, Mari isn't sure how she should react to that speech. Did that guy really battle a loli robot, or is he just making it up? Either way...
In response to his offer to be a guide, she shook her head, "I can't let the local super hero show me around. Besides, if the obvious signal goes off when you are showing me somewhere, then I will be left stranded and utterly lost." Mari showed him the map that she has, "Besides, I do have this map that gives me a guideline on where to go anyways. So thanks for the offer, but I am afraid that asking you for a tour will take up too much of your time."

"I see, very astute of you miss.. Citizen of... where are we again? Tokyo or something?" He seemed a little unsure, before continuing with his ramblings.
"Well, if you need my help, be sure to shoot out the Obvious Signal. I must fly off and be onpatrol!" He extended his arms infront and above him and just kind of walked away, making a WHOOSH-ing sound as he left.
