The graceful spirit sailed through the air with the greatest of ease.
Slowly, as if riding the dissipating breeze, she had turned her body about letting the small appendages of white strip whirl around like ribbon. With the small fabric moving like so, it almost seemed like every fiber, even that was a dancer in this small ballet. Her eyes were masked by these strips, but her fingers reached out feeling the air around as she sailed to her master. He feet motioned as if to land, but stopped simply to lay upon the breeze as she reached her bandaged fingers out tapping the white cloth of his worth clothes. With a simple touch of a shoulder…it was a melodic response from his pressed lips.
”Hmm?”
The sapphire colored eyes turning around to lay upon that of the figure. Her appearance making him stop in a sudden halt as he turned his body slowly revealing the old relic of the tin instrument in hand as he stood up straight making it sound with a swirling slush that was reminiscent to the sound of water. His eyes watching as they reflected the motion of the figure as she had ride on her wings that captured the air about. Her hands lifting as they pointed to the east yonder where the eyes could see as far as the stretched.
Those eyes closed, and under them, his cheeks had stretched with a curve showing a gentle, sweet smile.
”Thank you old friend. I‘ll get to them in a minute. You‘ve certainly been a great help.”
With an opening of his eyes, he had saw the expression of the figure as her sweet blue lips had curved. He blinked as the graceful spirit that reflected in those beautiful gem like eyes had suddenly vanished. His eyes turned, switching his perspective to that of the tin can in his hand. He had peered into the opening as those eyes once again reflecting the calm water that had circulated within with the easiest of motion.
Did he set his eyes on nothing but beauty all the time?
That was the simplicity of the feminine face. He set his eyes on the beautiful qualities. The beautiful qualities of the nature, these people, this world. It was one reason he had kept his job here in the gardens. Awaken in a world that seemed more hectic than before, with just as much calamity, he found nothing familiar. A tree would’ve been a sight for sore eyes, and it was here that he saw one, and it was here he wished to stay.
He had leaned over letting the droplets of water sprinkle from the freckled openings of the pot. The sprinklers were turned off, and the automatic garden distributing options were left in standby. They felt so unnatural, and he felt better doing it this way. What was better than walking around the garden and watering the plants and witness the lovely sights of the colorful bounty yourself?
It was something he took great pride in; his love of nature that is. He had kept his calm and gentle smile upon his face as he sprinkled the water about evenly on the plants. Slow and steady he showered them as if he was spending time with them through the effort. A personal meet and greet with his old trusted friend that waited in the winds. Not Parfaye who had been waiting in the winds however…but…someone else.
It had been years in the future. Xenneth saw very few things like in the past. He felt duel spirits nearly becoming extinct because no one simply believed in them anymore. He could see them through these eyes, or that’s at least what his sisters had told him. He wished to believe that, but thus far, all he had ever found was people walking the streets busy, stressed, worried.
Yes…the world was still the same. No one slowed down and simply smelled the rose.
His happy expression he had with a sweet and delicate smile had melted away all in an instance. His eyes filled with little sorrow as he hadn’t even recognized his mood changed. He had paused as he stood up straight. His breath drew in after making a gasp of his breath. He had reached sitting the pale down as he reached out his hands cuffing the bud of the rose.
”My apologies. I should‘ve been paying more attention…”
He had over watered it. Flooded it with his unnecessary depressive thoughts.
He had spent years sleeping, and now he awakened to this world. He accepted it, but he still wondered of course, when would he ever get use to it?
