Well, she was finally here. Though the fact that she was a secretary was disconcerting.
Ah well, perhaps she could transfer to another department in the near future.
It was a brown haired girl sitting at the desk at the front, clicking away at a keyboard at at least a 120 words per minute, perhaps more. Only she knew what she was doing at the keyboard, but when people walked up to the desk she answered their questions and directed them to their places, so she was doing her job. However, she was typing away at her concepts, her blueish eyes whizzing across the page like wildfire. Her white blouse was rolled up around her sleeves and she was wearing black rimmed glasses with her hair pulled back in a ponytail, so she looked an awful lot like a librarian. A very anti-social librarian.
She looked up from the computer and took off her glasses to rub her eyes with a sigh.

Tyson Hikari was wearing his normal black jacket that he preferred to wear all the time. It was a long dark coat, that almost swept the floor in epic fashion. He wore a solemn expression on his face, as he walked throughout the building ground floor. His shoes were silent, he preferred not to be known of presence. As he walked up toward the front door, he noticed the very quick ticking sound of his subordinate's keyboard, in a speed that made him curious. He walked towards the front room from his position, and when he came forth, he sidestepped, seeing a weird figure on his employee's computer. After taking a few more seconds of close studying, Tyson cleared his throat.
"Miss Kurosaki. What, may I ask, are you doing?"
His arms were crossed against his chest, an eyebrow raised in curiosity.

"Suffering from severe levels of boredom sir." Yes. Shion's tongue was never exactly clipped when she was a child. She didn't do well with people, especially people who seemed to like sneaking up on her.
"I'm done the work assigned. Your files have been sorted... twice. Your meetings are all scheduled. Everything is perfect. And that's what's boring me. So I'm coming up with card designs. I do that in my spare time." The woman said as she looked up at Tyson with a bit of a look that screamed that she was going to go mad.
"Trust me, as soon as you pile some work I might have missed, which I doubt, I'll get right on it." Shion commented. This was what he got for running a tight, organized operation.

"Well, you do know that if you're bored, others may need help." Tyson commented back almost threateningly. "If you'd like, I could always go find someone else with a ton of paperwork to do..." He smirked almost snobbishly towards her, inferring that he could be just as sarcastic as she could, and that it didn't bother him too much when they did so.

Shion had to bite down a smirk. Tyson Hikari. He was a man who was just too easy to aggrivate. It was really interesting to watch him, because he wasn't exactly like normal bosses. From what she knew, he was one year her junior, even though she had just barely turned seventeen. He was intelligent, and to be quite frank, though he wasn't old, he was certainly skilled enough to run one of the largest corporations in the world. Not that Shion would ever admit that to the man. She liked keeping people guessing. It was interesting to watch them at it.
"You sure you have enough time sir?" She asked. "Wouldn't want to deprive you of your busy schedule and all. Must be oh so taxing." However, as she was being smart with her boss, she was opening up a communications program and typing away an inter-departmental message, telling people to shift some load her way. She was smart with her superiors, but the thing was, she was smart but she got the work done, and efficiently.

"I'd suggest you cancel that transaction." He said, gesturing to her computer screen.
"Please Rise, Miss Kurosaki, and come with me. We're going on a little tour."
He immediately turned his back to her, smiling to himself. Perhaps he'd take her by his office, he wasn't quite sure. He decided to make it up as he went along. It seemed she had what it took for what he wanted, she actually was able to hold her own against whatever he seemed to say. Perhaps, then, she'd be alright in the long run at this company. Either way, he was going to find out.
He waited for her to flank his side in the first place, giving her time to standby any programs she might have been using.

Shion raised an eyebrow, but underneath her thoughts were stirring up a bit. What was happening? Had she finally gone too far? Was he in a bad mood? Or was he just playing with her.
Yeah. Most likely the latter of the three.
With a quick taps of keys (she barely used her mouse), she managed to close all of her windows and log out of her screen. Then she stood up, straightened out her knee-length black skirt that she wore to work (even though she hated skirts) and proceeded to walk beside him, but yet at the same time somewhat behind him. Her face was a mask of mild interest, but inside she was extremely curious at what would happen next. Ever the observer.

"Miss Kurosaki." He stated after they walked for a while. "Do you even know what company you are working for?"
He stopped abruptly as they approached a staircase, pausing to look over at her.
"Honest question." He tacked on, to answer any possible questions.

"According to official records I'd have to chance a guess at a company that exploits the dueling economy and the people who come along with dueling. But perhaps exploitation is a strong word. Giving the people a service might suffice." Shion stated calmly, staring him straight back in the eyes with a little glint in the blue that said that she wasn't intimidated.

"Relax, Miss Kurosaki, you're not being fired. If I were to fire you, I would have took you for a tour of the outside of the building." He smiled a bit, before starting to walk down the steps. "Exploitation is not our purpose, Shion. We are a company of innovations, and we pride ourselves in being the creators, not the hustlers. We don't hustle people out of their money, we give them new resources to take advantage of."
"You seem like a creative person, yet, you do not understand this?"

"As I said. Exploitation might be a harsh word sir." Shion said as she walked along. She had the urge to put her hands in her pockets, but she restrained herself from doing so. "Hence why I changed my words. I find that sometimes keeping my tongue in check is difficult, and I say things I don't intend." She raised an eyebrow at the back of her employer's head. "But do continue sir."

The doors of the office building slid open and a nervous looking Alexa walked inside, clutching a bunch of papers to her chest. She approached the secretary's desk and glanced around, looking for secretary-like people. The secretary had said 4:30 for her interview, she was sure. She looked at her watch, 4:25 and no sign of the secretary. "Well thats just typical!" Alexa fumed "I'm on time for once and the person who I'm looking for isn't!"
Alexa paced for a while, before noticing the secretary's computer was only on standby. Thinking to herself she would just check what room her interview was in she sat down at the computer and opened it. She searched for a while but couldn't find anything to do with her. Defeated, her curiosity got the better of her and she started browing the computer's files, stumbling upon Shion's designs. "Hmmm, they're good, but I would do this..." Alexa murmured, absent mindedly making alterations to the designs as the clock ticked away the minutes.
[wasn't sure where to join so I hope its alright me applying for a job here ^_^]

(Alexa, you're gonna have to hold on a bit there. XP.)
"I did notice that you had tongue issues, Shion. And you were right to think you were going to be fired, most employers would fire you on the spot. However, working for me, you're not that lucky."
He smiled deviously.
"People who are entertaining, and intelligent, deserve to be working, I mean REALLY working at a company like this. Are you honestly entertained by being a receptionist? Tell the truth. And don't call me sir either, the rest of them can, but we're both kids, and we worked hard to get where we are. Use my first name."

"Well Tyson, to tell the honest truth, being your receptionist is perhaps one of the most dull experiences I've ever had in my life, and I've had some pretty dull moments." She said with a tiny flicker of a smirk. "However, it's a paying job, it keeps the food on the table." She stated. Inside though, she was laughing.
'Not that lucky? What does he propose to do, make my life miserable? He says he won't fire me, therefore I'll be ready for anything. He's... interesting.'
"But, why do you bring it up?"

"That look you had in your eyes downstairs, it looked like you were getting ready to go mad or something. Tell me what was going through your mind."
